JoyWorksAI Privacy Policy

Updated June 3, 2026
Opt-Out Preference Signal Honored

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. “JoyWorksAI,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to nJoy Worldwide Inc., doing business as JoyWorksAI, including the JoyWorksAI platform, our mobile applications, and our websites at joyworksai.com and njoyshopper.com (together, the “Service”). References to “nJoy” in older materials refer to the same company and Service.

1. Information We Collect

  • Account and profile information. To create an account we require your first and last name, an email address, and a password. Optional profile information (such as a phone number or photo) is visible to other members.
  • Business information. When you create a business on the Service, we collect the Business Owner's email address, business name, username, and password, and optionally your business's phone, address, and contact information.
  • Billing information. Paid plans are purchased through Apple's App Store using In-App Purchase. Apple processes your payment and billing information under Apple's own terms and privacy policy; we do not receive or store your payment card details. We receive transaction confirmations from Apple necessary to provide your subscription.
  • Communications and content. Messages, posts, pictures, files, and video you send or receive within the Service, along with dates, times, and delivery information (for example, whether content was posted in an open, private, or direct-message station).
  • Mobile and SMS information. Text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
  • Log and device data. Our servers automatically record information such as IP address, referring page, browser type and settings, date and time of requests, language preferences, cookie data, device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, and crash data.
  • Geolocation. Precise GPS location from mobile devices is collected only with your permission. We may infer approximate location from your IP address.
  • Usage information. Which businesses, stations, posts, members, features, content, and links you interact with.
  • Information from partners. We may receive information from partners or other third parties that we use to make the Service more useful.

2. How We Use Information

  • To provide the Service — authenticate you and deliver messages, posts, stations, commerce features, and content.
  • To understand and improve our products, including measuring usage and diagnosing problems.
  • To power AI features. See Section 3 (Artificial Intelligence) below.
  • To keep the Service safe — investigating and preventing fraud, abuse, security incidents, and prohibited behavior.
  • To communicate with you — responding to inquiries, service and administrative notices (which you may not opt out of while you have an account), and optional product news (which you may opt out of at any time).

Nothing in this policy limits our use of information that is aggregated or de-identified so that it no longer identifies you, and we commit to maintaining such data in de-identified form and not attempting to re-identify it.

3. Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning

JoyWorksAI uses machine-learning and artificial-intelligence technologies to provide and improve Service features (for example, recommendations, search, and conversational features).

  • Training. We use information described in Section 1 — including content you provide to the Service and your usage data — to train, develop, and improve our machine-learning and artificial-intelligence models. Where practicable, we de-identify or aggregate data before using it for training. You may request that personal information associated with your account be excluded from future model training by emailing [email protected]. We provide this disclosure in accordance with applicable state privacy laws, including Connecticut's requirement to disclose whether personal data is used to train large language models.
  • Outputs. AI-generated content can be inaccurate or incomplete; see our Terms of Service for important limitations.
  • Automated decision-making. We do not use your personal information to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.

4. Cookies and Analytics

We and our service providers use cookies and similar technologies. We use third-party analytics, including Google Analytics, to understand how the Service is used. We do not use cross-context behavioral (targeted) advertising features. You can opt out of Google Analytics via the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, and you can control cookies through your browser settings.

5. Opt-Out Preference Signals (Global Privacy Control)

We honor opt-out preference signals, including the Global Privacy Control (GPC), as required by applicable state privacy laws. If your browser transmits a GPC signal, we will treat it as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for that browser. This replaces our prior statement regarding “Do Not Track” signals.

6. Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We may share information:

  • With service providers and processors acting on our instructions (for example, hosting providers, payment processors, analytics, and communications vendors).
  • With your consent, to comply with legal process, or to protect the Service and our users — where disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect the safety, rights, or property of any person or the public, or to detect and prevent fraud, security, or technical issues. Where legally permitted, we will give you prior notice of third-party requests for your information.
  • In a corporate transaction — merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets — where information may be transferred as part of the transaction.
  • Business contact lists. Contact information you load into your account is used only to provide the Service to you; we do not sell or provide it to third parties. You may request removal at any time at [email protected].

7. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to: know/access the personal information we hold about you; correct inaccurate information; delete your information; receive a portable copy; opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and certain profiling; limit use of sensitive personal information; and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected] from the address associated with your account (we will verify your identity before acting and respond within the time required by law — generally 45 days). You may use an authorized agent where permitted. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision, and you may also contact your state attorney general.

California residents: the categories of personal information we collect are described in Section 1 (identifiers; commercial information; internet activity; geolocation; audio/visual content you submit; and professional information for business accounts); the purposes are described in Sections 2–3; and the categories of recipients in Section 6. We collect personal information from you, your devices, and our partners. We treat the personal information of consumers known to be under 16 as sensitive personal information consistent with California law.

8. Retention

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, then for the period necessary for legitimate business purposes (such as security, dispute resolution, and legal compliance). Criteria we use include: the duration of your account, legal obligations, and the need to prevent fraud. Log data is retained for twelve (12) months and then deleted or de-identified. You may request deletion at any time (Section 7).

9. Your Choices In-Product

Members may delete messages they have sent, content they have uploaded, and stations they have created, and may cancel station memberships and accounts. Canceling a membership or account disables access but does not automatically delete content previously contributed to stations (delete content first if you wish it removed, or submit a deletion request under Section 7). For business accounts, retention and deletion settings are managed by Business Administrators, and only a primary Business Owner can cancel a business.

10. Security

We take reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Children and Students

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13; if we learn that we have, we will delete it. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information, contact [email protected]. Schools and teachers using the Service with students must comply with FERPA, including providing required notices and obtaining parental/guardian consents (see our Terms of Service). Personal information of users known to be under 16 is treated as sensitive personal information under applicable law.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time and will post changes on this page with an updated date. For material changes we will provide more prominent notice or seek your consent where required.
